SURROUNDING AREAS
The district covering Montalbano hills offers a wide range of fascinating thermed itineraries, from the historical ones, including the different Renaissance Medicean villas, among which Villa Fernanda in Artimino, called also "Villa dei cento Camini", Villa Ambra in Poggio Caiano, surrounded by a beautiful Italian garden, created thanks to a project commissioned by Elisa Baciocchi, Grand Duchess of Lucca and Piombino, to the wine and oil route with the production of a very high DOP and IGP quality oil, while the Chianti wine of Montalbano obtained the DOCG denomination since already 1984. In this territory there is a strong commitment in the effort and use of the appropriate technique for those typical niche products obtained from the organic farming.
